I've been showing dogs for a little over 2 years. I
started in
dachshunds, and still show them. I decided I wanted a bigger dog for
juniors, and, because I admired the breed so much, I decided a boxer was
it.
After I got my first boxer, Astro (Sugar Hill Carmel Delight), I
was compelled to get another. This summer I got a brindle flashy girl,
Lily (Copper Hill Tiger Lily). Guess I was bitten by the 'Boxer bug'!
Since I began showing Astro, we have won 2 first places in
juniors, 1 in the Novice Junior, which moved us up, and one in the
Novice Senior, which also moved us up. In the Open Junior we won 1
second and 4 fourths. We're working harder than ever now to place in the
Open Senior class.
Astro is also shown in breed. I have shown him to 2 Reserve
Winner's Dog to 3-point majors, and, his most recent win, a Best of
Breed for his first 2 points! We will continue to show in both Juniors
and breed, as I hope to finish his championship. Lily will be shown in
breed as well.
