Buckpasser's Matchmaker
|
![]() |
We were lucky in finding our first Boxer. A local vet recommended Sherry
Moore in Sulphur, LA. Sherry owned Ch. Salgray's Buckpasser and a Treceder
bred bitch. They had a litter about six months old. After many
conversations, we passed Sherry's tests of responsible ownership, and
Buckpasser's Matchmaker came home with us. He was such a joy. He had a
wonderful Boxer temperament. One of the most touching things I remember
about Match was his guardianship of our son Jonathan when we brought him
home. The other dogs and my mother-in-law could not get near the baby. We
learned so much about Boxers and showing with Match. He was very sensitive
about people laughing at him. When he grew older, Match loved to doze in
front of the fireplace in the winter. The heat would make him drowsy, and
he would nod off and fall over. He would look around to see if anyone was
watching. If they were, he would leave the room in embarrassment. Sleep
well, old friend. You were a wonderful teacher and companion.
