Salem has SO much energy it is scary sometimes! When he was a puppy, I can tell him to "Come in this house!" & he will throw that head back and just keep walking! He figures "if I don't LOOK at her, I don't have to mind her!!! I have to give him the OLE "Don't MAKE me come over there Lil man!!" He comes running like "okay ..okay.. okay.." He brings our family joy and lots of laughter! Salem did not like the show circuit, so I did not make him do it long. I always wondered, how would you know if they did not like it? Well I am can tell you now You will Know. Taking him around the ring was like parading him in pink underwear. It was not for him at all. He would drag with his head down all the way around and on the down and out, it was worse. Even though the judges would give him a second chance to go down and out he would do it the same. Dragging his feet and head to the floor. He would not eat, it was a nightmare to me and I guess to him too. So home is where he is. So we did obedience. Well same story different book. He did all I ask him to do but it was in protest the whole time. If he sat front and then finished to the side I bet it took 10
minutes of him looking at me saying "Are you sure?" and I just did that
Why are we doing it again? Is it time to go home yet? he
looked at me and that is all the words in his eyes. When Jammee went out of town to a show, I thought maybe he would miss her. NO Way He was Singing "Ding Dong the witch is gone! " And he loved every minute of it. He was spoiled rotten. But when he went to the vet to be neutered Jammee was a Lost soul without him. Weird how they are so much different. And at the same time I can say he did miss Angel when she went to the Rainbow Bridge. :( I do too. At 7 years of age he was neutered, and is a happier boy for it. I guess those things bumping behind him were just to much to trouble. :)
MY BOY!
