| After having a pet boxer many years
ago, I began to read books about the breed thinking that eventually I
would get one of these lovely animals to show. I questioned
Brenda Stuckey of Breho Boxers until I thought I knew enough to start
my quest for the perfect bitch. Brenda only had brindle puppies at
that time, and I was determined to get a fawn. I went to
numerous shows, read some more books, and looked at web pages.
In August of 1996 I went to a show
in Monroe, La, where I met Bill and Sherry
Mielke. When I saw their bitch Southgate's Anne' Oakley enter the
ring, I knew I wanted a bitch just like her. In December of 1996 Annie
had a litter, but in it was only one fawn bitch. That bitch
became mine and was the beginning of Darvick Boxers and my dream. I named her
Southgate's Dream a Lil
Dream, "Dreamer".
I'd like to say Dreamer became my first Champion but she didn't. She
was my second Champion. I acquired a
second bitch a year later out of the Mielke's second litter from Annie.
Southgate's Ilusiv Dream of Darvick. "Lulu" was my first
Champion with Dreamer finishing her Championship three days later.
Dreamer was bred to Ch HiMaster's
Regal Fire Lord, CD and produced BISS Ch Darvick's Dreams Never Cease
"Cece", our fourth Champion and first homebred Champion. She
was a Top Twenty contender in 2001 and 2002. I've
always felt I was lucky when I started showing. I had Brenda there
to ask questions, Terri Galle handling for me, and the
Mielke's who let me purchase Dreamer. I can never thank them enough or
repay their trust in me.
Ch Denbar's Millenial Dream Warrior
"Turbo" was our third Champion. Turbo came to us from Annette
Clark in Salt Lake city Utah. Thanks Annette for trusting us with this
wonderful, funny Boxer.
Ch
Rosend's Sweet Sensation "Candi" came to us from Lynda Yon of
Rosend Boxers.
Candi is our fifth Champion and the token brindle bitch.
In 2003 Korinne Vanderpool and I
bred our "Cece"
to Ch Hi-Tech Johnny J of Boxerton,SOM, and had a litter of 3 boys
and 1 girl. The following is an update on this breeding.
Finishing in quick fashion, Ch
Darvick HiTech Regal Monoply, "Parker", and Ch
Darvick HiTech Regal Explorer, "Polo", were my sixth and
seventh champions, respectively. Parker is owned by Susan and Tracey
Wilkinson and co-owned by Korinne and me. Polo is co-owned by Korinne
and me, but lives with me. Ch
Regal
HiTech Picasso Of Darvick, "Pablo", is a third
male from this outstanding litter. He is co-owned by Korinne
and me and makes his home with Korinne. The lone
female, Brandu's
Pazazz Of HiTech, "Paddy", is owned by Bob and Sally
Mosier and co-owned by Korinne and me. The latter is pointed but
has not been seriously shown to this point.
Ch
Encore's Crimson Tide, "Hunter",came to us from Cheryl
Cates' of Encore Boxers.
Hunter, is a classic fawn with the most wonderful "boxer"
temperament. Hunter is our ninth champion.
We don't breed a lot, but only
strive to breed healthy, conformation-correct boxers with wonderful
temperaments. |
