The purpose of the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test
is to ensure that our dogs are a respected member of the community
because he or she is a well behaved dog at home, in public and
around other dogs.
Best of all EVERY dog is welcome - pedigreed
Champions and the mixed breed dogs. All you need is the
ability to pass these 10 simple
tests:
- Accepting a friendly stranger
- Sitting politely for petting
- Appearance and Grooming
- Out for a walk (Walking on a loose leash)
- Walking through a crowd
- Sit and down on command/staying in place
- Coming when called (new exercise)
- Reaction to another dog
- Reactions to distractions
- Supervised separation
